Who we are

What we keep, and why

WhatWhat it isWhy
Your accountYour email address and name, and, if you sign in with Google, the Google account they came from. Your password is kept by our sign-in service as a one-way hash, never readable. A handle, such as @brave-beam-3213, made up for you and changed on your Account page.To sign you in, to write to you about your account, and to show your builds by your handle
Your projectsThe models you build or open, their pictures and their earlier versions. To keep your work and open it on any device
Your published buildsWhen you publish a project to the gallery: a copy of its model, its title, category, note and cover, shown to everyone with your handle and, unless you turn them off on your Account page, your initials. Never your name or email. Unpublishing takes it away at once.To show your work in the gallery, as you asked
Your chats with ClaudeWhat you write to Claude, the photos and snapshots of your view you send it, its replies, and the edits you make while it works. To build what you ask for, and to show the chat again later
Your use of ClaudeHow many tokens each of Claude's replies took, and what they cost.To hold you to your plan's allowance
Your Anthropic keyIf you give one on your Account page: kept encrypted, shown again only as its last four characters, removed when you remove it.To run your chats with Claude on your own Anthropic account
Your planYour plan, its status and its dates, and the instructions you unlocked. Never your card: Lemon Squeezy takes the payment. To give you what you paid for
Server logsThe addresses and pages of requests, kept for a short while. To keep the site running and safe from abuse

We do not sell what we keep about you, show advertising, or track you across other sites; the site has no analytics.

Who else sees it

Lemon SqueezyYour payment, your email and your billing address, as the seller of record: it sells you the plan or unlock and handles its taxes, refunds and invoices.lemonsqueezy.com/privacy
GoogleYour sign-in, if you choose Sign in with Google; and, on the sign-up form, what its reCAPTCHA needs to tell a person from a bot.policies.google.com/privacy

Everything else is kept on servers we run ourselves. We hand over data to others only where the law makes us.

Cookies and this browser

One cookie keeps you signed in, for 30 days from your last visit; another lives for the 15 minutes of signing in. Our sign-in service at auth.brickgizmo.com keeps its own session cookies, and Google's reCAPTCHA sets its cookies on the sign-up form.

The editor keeps your open tabs and your settings in this browser's own storage, which never leaves it.

How long we keep it

Your account and your work are kept while you have the account. Deleting a project or a chat deletes it at once; deleting your account deletes everything of yours, except the records of payments, which Lemon Squeezy and the tax law keep.

Copies in our nightly backups go after 14 days.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we keep about you, have it corrected, or have your account and everything in it deleted: write to [email protected] from the address of your account. You can export any model yourself, at any time, as an LDraw or Studio file.

Where the law of your country gives you more rights, such as the GDPR in Europe, you have them too, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Brick Gizmo is not meant for children under 13, who should not make an account. If you believe a child has, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will put any change on this page with its date, and write to you before a change that matters.
